LOKANUSA: Journal of Local Administration, Governance and Regional Development is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, policy studies, comparative research, and scholarly reviews in the fields of public administration, governance, and regional development.
The journal focuses on the interaction between government institutions, communities, private actors, and other stakeholders in managing public affairs and promoting regional development. It seeks to strengthen the theoretical and empirical foundations of local governance studies while encouraging research that is relevant to contemporary public-sector challenges.
The journal covers issues such as decentralization, regional autonomy, public management, intergovernmental relations, institutional capacity, local public finance, public service delivery, regional planning, sustainable development, rural and urban governance, community participation, collaborative governance, policy implementation, and administrative reform.
LOKANUSA welcomes manuscripts employing qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, comparative, case-study, and other rigorous research approaches. Manuscripts should demonstrate clear research problems, appropriate theoretical foundations, sound methodological procedures, systematic analysis, and meaningful academic or policy contributions.
The journal publishes three issues annually in April, August, and December.
